C U @ C4 - Central Canadian Comic Con

Playmaker Motion Pictures is excited to be participating at Central Canadian Comic Con 2014. Come and visit us at table 144 in Artists' Alley to check out our latest publication, The Travelling CreepshowThe Travelling Creepshow is an anthology of short stories of horror. Winnipeg artist, Cara Adams illustrated the cover and will be at the table selling prints. Also available will be DVDs, t-shirts, and other promotions. On the Saturday, be sure to be on the look out for the monster from Mockingbird. He will be around...somewhere. Stop by and say hello!

Open Call for Short Stories (Horror)

Playmaker Motion Pictures is currently seeking previously unpublished works of creative fiction, flash fiction and poetry for the publication of Dr. Grimm’s Travelling Creepshow, an anthology of horror writings. We request short stories of 4000 words or less, and poems of any form.

In order to submit, authors must be 18 years of age or order, and own the rights to their work. We accept multiple submissions but request that you have no more than three submissions pending. Authors receive exposure only, no monetary payment.

Formatting requirements:

  • Word documents preferred (but also accept .txt and .rtf)
  • 1” margins, left justified, double spaced
  • Times New Roman, 12 pt. font
  • Please submit poetry as you would like it to appear upon publication, if special formatting is required, please submit both a Word and .PDF document
  • Please include your name and email address in the top left corner of the first page, followed by a word count or poetry line count
  • The title should be centered, with the author’s byline below it, followed by the work  
  • The byline should be written exactly as it would appear upon publication
  • Please include a brief biographical note at the end of the work (approximately 50 words).
